History: 48 year old man presents with diffuse abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. This patient was found to have a distal small bowel obstruction secondary to an incarcerated right femoral hernia.

History: 48 year old man presents with diffuse abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.

**Small bowel obstruction:** Single axial CT scan through the abdomen shows multiple dilated and fluid filled loops of small bowel compatible with small bowel obstruction.

This patient was found to have a distal small bowel obstruction secondary to an incarcerated right femoral hernia.
