History: 48 year old man presents with diffuse abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.

Single axial CT scan through the abdomen shows multiple dilated and fluid filled loops of small bowel compatible with small bowel obstruction

Small bowel obstruction: Single axial CT scan through the abdomen shows multiple dilated and fluid filled loops of small bowel compatible with small bowel obstruction.

This patient was found to have a distal small bowel obstruction secondary to an incarcerated right femoral hernia.
