Contrast Enhanced MR for Acute Appendicitis in Children

The past 9 months have been extremely busy and I haven’t been able to be as active as I would like on RadiologyPics.com, but now I can finally share why. With the help of my co-authors John H. Naheedy and Peter G. Kruk, we published an article in Pediatric Radiology entitled “Diagnostic Performance of Contrast Enhanced MR for acute appendicitis and alternative causes of abdominal pain in children.” You can access our article above at SpringerLink or on PubMed.

In medical school I worked on a lot of other research, and I enjoyed the experience; however, the busy schedule of internship and moving to residency really took away from time to devote towards research. Now that I’m back at it, I’m realizing how much I enjoy the experience, contributing to medical knowledge and the advancement of techniques in radiology. Be on the lookout in the next six months for forthcoming papers on this topic and others in pediatric radiology.
